Echo Dot Kids - Spotify won't work

Echo Dot Kids - Spotify won't work

Plan - Premium

Country - US Spotify account (but residing in UK)

Device - Echo Dot Kids

We have played Spotify music on our Alexa (echo dot) for years.  A few weeks ago we bought one for my son to keep in his room.  We cannot get Spotify to play on it no matter what we do.  After enabling Spotify, when we request a song the Echo Dot says "Playing ______ on Spotify" and then is silent.

We are not trying to play songs on multiple Echo Dots simultaneously, just one at a time.  We cannot figure out why we are completely unable to get Spotify to work on this device but we'd appreciate any suggestions that can be offered.

Hey @meremaid,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community and apologies for the delayed response.

Would you please try to disable the skill and then enable it again?

It's also a good idea to reset the Echo Dot and try if you'll be able to play music after that.

Lastly, we'd recommend checking if Spotify is turned on via your Alexa App. Select More > tap "Amazon Kids". Click on your child's account and then go to "Parent Dashboard", then you'll find the option to Manage music  - make sure you turn on Spotify.

Hope this helps.  If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Looks like dashboard is not available in my country, so my daughter can't use Spotify
