Freestanding Spotify TV App that Doesn't Require Pairing with Another Device

Unless I'm mistaken, I've searched the community, and I've checked web searches, it appears the only way to use Spotify with TV is to search your TV, find the app, and pair with another device. If I'm wrong at this point, you can let me know.

My suggestion is that I'd like to be able to play Spotify through my TV, without using my iPhone as a paired device. I just want to turn on Spotify and hear it in my house. I want to free up my iPhone for other things, walk away, leave the room, go to other floors, and still hear the music from various speakers throughout the house, originating from the TV. This will also preserve my iPhone battery.

Is this in the works?
