Gift Card "Something Went Wrong, Try Again'

I have purchased a Spotify gift card at Walmart and I cannot get the card redeemed! I have gone to the website spotify.com/redeem and put in the code that I had to scratch off on the back of the card and every time I enter the code it says“ something went wrong, try again”. I looked into the Spotify website where it stated that there should be a pin on the card or a code on the receipt where I had purchased the card from. Looking at my receipt I found no code. I took it back to Walmart and they said it was activated when they rang it up. I just don't know what to do. I’ve tried using both 0(zero) and the letter O’ and it still states that something went wrong. I have purchased many Spotify gift cards in the past from Walmart and have never had this issue before. I’m hoping we can resolve the problem as I can’t wait to listen to music for hours on end.
