Google Home Multi user

Google Home Multi user

Two users of Spotify ( one free account and one premium)

One google Nest mini speaker

How do you get the home mni speaker to play from the right spotify account ?

Voice match is set up on both accounts

But no matter what the second user when they ask to play some music itwill not play form their account, only mine .

This is an almost identical problem to one posted here:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Podcasts-Partners-etc/Google-Home-Multi-user/m-p/4214484

however the solution posted on there does not work and to make matters worse the topic has been locked

I've spent hours and hours ( almost most f the day ) trying to get this to work, and no matter what it wont

Am i wasting my time?   thinking of moving to youtube music as this is an extremely irritating waste of time

Now it wont even let me post messages

Nice to see good customer help and support.;

looks like i will have to do as suggested, cancel spotify and move to a service that works on home speakers such as Nest

It would be useful to know that this ( multiple users on one nest speaker/ system)  didn't work before wasting an inordinate amount of time trying to set it all up .

Would aso be useful if the topic linked to wast marked as a solution - it isnt. and that it wasnt locked

Hey there @Richard_T123

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. Apologies for the delayed response, we just came across this thread.

We're sorry to hear that you've had this experience. We suggest that you try unlinking and relinking the accounts by following the steps here.

If this doesn't do the trick and you're sure that both accounts are correctly linked, we suggest that you reach out to Google support directly so they can take a closer look on their end.

If you need a hand with anything else, just let us know.
