Half an album gone

An album from an artist I like came out October 28th. It was on Spotify in full and I listened to it throughout the weekend; now only 5 songs from the album are available.

What happened? Is this the artist's decision? 

I'm getting a little frustrated with content disappearing from Spotify. It seems like it's becoming less and less worth my while to pay for the premium service.
