How do I upload an mp3 file to spotify?

I have an mp3 file, which I have managed to upload to spotify using the local files feature, but I don't know how to rename it, change the cover photo, add artist credits etc. I can only add/remove it from playlists.

Is there any way that I can do these things (e.g. rename it), or can I upload the file using a different method so that I can do these things?

Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community. 

We're afraid it's not possible to rename your local files or change their cover within the app. However, you can modify this info on the original files before uploading them to your device.
