Hiya, so if your duo partner wants to set up their own Spotify account to separate from yours, they can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Spotify website: Go to the Spotify website on a computer or mobile device.

  2. Click "Sign up": Click the "Sign up" button on the top right corner of the page.

  3. Choose a subscription plan: Choose a subscription plan that suits your duo partner's needs. There are free and paid options available.

  4. Enter your details: Enter your duo partner's details, including their name, email address, and a password.

  5. Verify your account: Verify your duo partner's account through the email that Spotify sends to the email address provided during the sign-up process.

  6. Download the app: After verifying the account, download the Spotify app on your duo partner's device and log in with the new account details.

Once your duo partner has their own Spotify account, they can stream music and playlists separately from yours. They can also follow your account if they want to listen to your playlists or share music with you.

It's important to note that if your duo partner was previously playing music on your account, they should log out of your account before logging into their own account to avoid any confusion or interruption of playback.

Let me know if he can't get one going, I'd be glad to help.

Highest regards,
