How to fix the rewind from stop when I lift my finger from phone?

On the mobile app, when I press and lift my finger off the rewind on a song (not go to a previous song but to rewind on a song currently listening), the app will keep rewinding as if I still have my finger on it. This does not happen with the fast forward and will continue to rewind if you try to go to other songs. Before this, all I had to do was press on it, get to the part of the song I wanted to rewind to, lift my finger to make it stop, and the app will play normally. Just discovered this yesterday.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

 

Could you try to log out > restart your phone > log back in to see if that makes any difference for you?

 

It is also a good idea to clear cached files by following these steps. 

 

In case the issue persists, would you mind asking a friend or a family member to log in on your phone and test this out to see if they'll experience the same?

I greatly appreciate the advice, but unfortunately, nothing works. It also seems to be a Spotify app issue because when a family member logged into my account on their phone, same issue occurred.

Thanks for the info you've sent so far. 

 

We understand you tried if the same happens with your account, but on a different device.  In this case, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your device to check if they can replicate the same behavior with their account? This will help us determine if the issue is account-related.
