How to stop Spotify from loading automatically on the mobile app?

When I turn on the car Spotify automatically starts playing. How do I stop that?

Are you maybe using Android Auto to connect your phone to your vehicle?

If yes, then I'd suggest going to the app's 'General' settings. Locate "Start music automatically" and set it to 'off'.

Doing this should prevent the app from auto-playing in case Android Auto is the root cause of the issue at hand.

Thank you for the clarification!
In your case we can try the following:
 

1. Turn Off Autoplay From Your Car:
   Make sure that you have the Autoplay option turned off from your car’s dashboard.
2. Pause Before Disconnecting:
   Try to pause playback before you leave the car and your iPhone disconnects from CarPlay!
   Some cars seem to be able to remember the last setting and will remain in a paused state when you reconnect.

My Question or Issue

Hello! This issue has only recently happened in the last few weeks. I've been using Spotify on my Google home for years. Now suddenly when I get in the car and my phone connects to the cars Bluetooth Spotify on my Google home stops and Spotify starts playing through my car. How to stop Spotify from playing through the car automatically?
