I have tried and tried but there is no option to make my on repeat playlist private I’ve googled it countless times and I’ve pressed the three dots but there is no option to make it private. This goes for desktop and mobile I do not have the option to make this playlist private

Hi there,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

That's cause the On Repeat playlist is actually made by Spotify for you: you can only set playlists to private if you've created them yourself.

For the time being, you can use the following workaround with the desktop app:

  1. Open your On Repeat playlist, select all items with Ctrl + A (Cmd + A if you have a Mac) and copy them with Ctrl + C / Cmd + C.
  2. Create a new playlist and paste the songs there.
  3. Set the new playlist to private from the three dots menu.

Note that the Spotify-created On Repeat playlist updates every 5 days, so you'll have to manually check for updates and replace the old tracks with the new ones in the playlist you've created.

You can also post an idea about this on our Idea Exchange board. Others can then show their support by giving it a thumbs up and sharing their feedback. When your idea gathers enough upvotes, it is sent to our internal teams for review and possible consideration.

More info on how the Idea Exchange board works here.

Cheers!
