I can´t no longer rewind or fast forward a song after the latest update

After the latest update, both in iOS and Android, I can´t no longer rewind or fast forward a song in intervals like I´ve been doing for years after the latest update, noticed this in Apple carplay and Android Auto.
I don´t understand the logic behind getting rid of such a basic, common and useful feature.

The same thing has happened to me as well!  I thought it was just me for some reason.  Spotify, help!

CarPlay user here.  I have this issue too, and it is beyond frustrating. Apple Music works fine, only Spotify has this issue.

I’ve tried turning phone and radio off and on but nothing works. Was so nice driving the interstate fast forwarding on the radio to a certain part to keep me sane with other wicked drivers. More of a hassle having to use my phone to fast forward

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info in order to have a better understanding of what's happening on your side. That being said, we'll need the following details:

• Is this happening only when using Android Auto/CarPlay or does it also happen when using the regular app?
• Send us a video recording of what you're seeing on your side. Please attach the videos in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload them to YouTube or Google Drive and make them public so we can visualize them.
• The make/model and OS of the affected devices
• The exact Spotify version you're running

Mine just started working again. CarPlay. App was not affected. iOS 16.4.1. iPhone 11. Spotify 8.8.30.499

It must have just been fixed today as it was not working yesterday.

Oh, when it was not working, holding the fast forward button just didn’t do anything. There was no visual change. 
So a video would not have shown anything.
