I don't want to open the web player

I don't want to open the web player

Hi, I am having issues with open.spotify links. They always open in the web player. I have no idea how to make it stop. In my desktop app I have it checked to "Allow Spotify to be opened from the web", but it won't. Links are sending me to the web player when I just want to have it start playing in my desktop app which is open at all times.

How can I disable this?

I am running Windows 10 64-bit

Using Opera (44.0) as my main Browser. (Have tried Chrome and Microsoft Edge as well with no luck)

Hi!

That's pretty odd, my spotify links want to redirect me to the Desktop, at least on last.fm.

I don't know a good Spotify-setting that would help get rid of that, but I've heard that copying the Spotify link address and pasting it to the desktop client's search will take you to the desired playlist/artist/song.

I know it's not the best method, but it's something... 🙂

I just got off live chat, they said opening the links in the web browser is the only option currently.

I HATE IT.
