I have a samsung and my airpods are saying there connected but no sound

They are sportsgirl airpods and they say their connected but do not play any music through it yet it plays through wireless earbuds? Whats going on?

If you're having issues with your headphones and Spotify, to start we recommend checking out the steps in this article, specifically "If it’s still not working, try re-pairing your devices" under "Not working?". 

You can also log out > log back in twice in a row to help resync your account and the Spotify app, as well as restart your device to see if that'll change anything. We also always recommend keeping Spotify updated.

If it's still not working after these steps then there may be an issue with your headphones and we recommend reaching out to their support for further help if that's possible.
