I’m receiving emails and receipts in Tamil language. Correct it to English.

I’m receiving emails and receipts in Tamil language. Correct it to English.

As I’m receiving emails and purchase receipts in Tamil language, I can’t read them. So please correct it to english. I just subscribed Spotify Premium and received the receipt in Tamil which I cannot understand.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Consider checking that English is the language set to all your devices, as described here. If that's the case, then this should also affect the setting for the Spotify emails and you should receive them in English as well.

My Question or Issue


I have just recently updated the pyment method for my spotify duo subscription. My country has 11 official languages, with isiZulu being one, but English being the predominant language. I do not speak isiZulu. I did not select to receive my receipts in isiZulu. Nevertheless, I have received my receipt of payment for my subscription in the language of isiZulu. Now I am stuck with the dilemma of not understanding my receipt or the contents therein. How do I change this back to the default of English?

Also from South Africa, exact same issue. All my devices are English, I struggle to find a language selector in the Account settings page, yet randomly I am getting Zulu receipts.

I'm from Sri Lanka, And Spotify has assumed that I'm speaking Tamil based on my country.
I need it to be changed into English or Sinhalese as I don't understand Tamil.

Emails are received in English EXCEPT for emails related to payments.  I am also getting these in IsiZulu.  I have just spent over an hour with your online support to try resolve this. 
This is clearly a coding issue.  Please direct it appropriately to your programming teams, rather than asking customers to change settings that are already correct.
