Issue With Mark All as Played for Podcasts

Issue With Mark All as Played for Podcasts

 

I’ve noticed that with podcasts with big backlogs like StarTalk Radio or JRE, marking all episodes as played then messes up played status and progress sync for every podcast. The only fix seems to be reinstalling the app.


To replicate, use the Mark All as Played button for a podcast with a lot of episodes, and then try listening to/marking one episode as played for any other podcast. This issue doesn’t occur if you manually mark each episode.

We've tested this from our end and the "mark all as played" button only affects the specific show you're listening to. The progress bar in other shows shouldn't be affected by this.

 

Sometimes the information stored in your device can affect the proper function of the app. You mentioned you've already tried reinstalling, but we'd like to suggest a clean reinstall to delete any files that might be causing trouble.

 

If the issue persists, please let us know the make, model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify app version you're currently running.
