Liked songs playing on Shuffle, even though shuffle is not turned on

Liked songs playing on Shuffle, even though shuffle is not turned on

I actually want to play my liked songs in date added order.  Unfortunately, even though shuffle is NOT turned on, Spotify is playing from some queue that appears to be shuffled.  Where did this queue some from?  How can I get rid of it? I see references on this site to "Clear queue", but do not see this as an option.  I can remove individual tracks from the queue one at a time, but even if I had the time to remove 200 tracks, it replaces every removed track with another random track.  Suggestions?  Oh, Windows Laptop

Hey there @crobannon,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We hope you don't mind us moving your post, as it seems you're describing a different issue, so it'd be better here on a new thread.

Just to confirm, are you using the web player or the desktop app on your Windows laptop? It'd be awesome if you could give us more details. If you're using the desktop app, it might be possible that the Smart shuffle is enabled. When activated, it looks like this:

If Smart Shuffle is disabled as well, there are a couple of things we'd like to confirm. Are you playing music using Connect? Or does the playback come directly from your computer? Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? Does this happen when using your computer or does it happen no matter what device you use to play content? Send us as many details as possible.

Lastly, it'd be great if you sent us a short video recording of what's happening, so we can better visualize what you're mentioning. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can watch it.

Keep us in the loop!
