Music doesn't play when I plug in Headphones

Soooo, I've got spotify as an app on my windows phone (lumia 950) and up till ~2 weeks ago everything was fine. But out of nowhere about 14 days ago my app stopped playing music once i plugged in my headphones. They're relatively new headphones so I don't really want to have to buy new ones but I don't really know what to do anymore since the app works fine otherwise.

Once I plug them in, the first two seconds of a song are being played before the screen suddenly goes gray-ish and the app tells me it's 'loading' or whatever and then I am being taken back to the overview of my playlists and the song stops playing. Repeat infinitely.

I already tried re-installing the app, but I still have the same problem. And the headphones work fine on all of my other devices.

I hope y'all have some kind of suggestions for me. Can't really live without my music too long.
