Music is significantly more quiet on the free 2 month trial ?

Music is significantly more quiet on the free 2 month trial ?

My mother just got Spotify and is still in the free 2 Month trial ( i am in the family plan of a friend) and we noticed that her music is way more quiet than mine. We habe the same phone model and her other apps like Youtube are way more loud on the loudest setting. I also went through the settings and dont see any difference. What could be the Problem? Is it beacuse she is on the free trial? Please help. Thank you

Hey there,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

The type of subscription shouldn't be affecting the volume of the app since the trial offers the full Premium experience without any restrictions. So first, we'd recommend checking the audio settings of her device as there can be different settings for different sounds, e.g. media or phone calls. Make sure to adjust the volume for the media.

If the issue persists, we'd recommend checking the in-app audio settings by opening the app, tapping on the profile picture (upper-left corner) and selecting Settings and Privacy > Playback. There you will find some options such as Normalize volume and Volume level that may affect the audio. We'd recommend changing these options to see if it makes any difference.

Lastly, since this could be also related with an outdated version of the app, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on her phone as this process will replace any damaged file and ensure she's using the latest version of the app.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
