No notifications for followed artist song/album releases?

I've been a premium subscriber for, I think, a few years now. Only now, with the most recent Android version (8.9.78.513) have I been getting notifications about new music/albums from artists I follow, twice. One of the notifications was a suggestion of an artist I *used* to listen to, that I'm not following.

I triple checked my notification settings and there's only "Music & Artist Recommendations," but I've usually gotten notifications for new podcast episodes without issue.

I don't think it's because I'm usually set to Offline Mode, unless that was suddenly changed for some reason? A large majority of the time while I'm set to Offline, I still get notifications of new podcast episodes.

Just to make sure we covered all the basics, would you mind confirming if you've performed a clean reinstall of the app? If not we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article to see if it makes any difference. 

If so and the issue persists, taking into account that the app is virtually not connected to the internet when you're in Offline mode, it's possible that some notifications may get affected by this. To make sure that being offline is not related to the issue with the notifications, could you keep your app online to see if the behavior persists?

Lastly, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your device to continue investigating this case.

Reinstalled the app, now version 8.9.82.620.

I've set it to Offline Mode for the time being, but enabled notifications for a podcast I listen to. Normally, I've gotten podcast notifications despite being Offline so I want to see if that works. If it does, then I'll switch back online and wait a few days to see if I get any music notifications. For music, the notification behavior I'm expecting, is that it notifies me on what's shown in the "New Releases For You" section of the Home tab - which it hasn't done, even when it's a band I've marked as followed.

My device is a Samsung S10+, Android 12.

Following up on this, overnight, I left Spotify in Offline Mode, and I still got a notification about pre-saving a new album from, in this instance, Nothing More.

It seems like notifications like that will still get pushed despite being in Offline Mode (which is a nice touch), it just seems very inconsistent.

Seems more like there's prompts to pre-save rather than a notification like, "New song/single/album from [band] out now." This is something I'd love to have, because I won't always pre-save an album, and I'd love to hear about new singles from the bands I follow, when they release.
