Offline file-only playlists have random songs on Spotify Free

I want to listen to my own private music without having to consistently press buttons to switch songs after it's done, so I usually use Spotify to listen to my songs in a playlist. My big problem now is that with the new update, every time a local file song finishes, it plays some random song I didn't even know existed. I want to be able to listen to my own songs without having these problems.

Now before you bring up getting Spotify Premium, I could totally listen to the songs on my phone using audio players without ads and I don't see why I would need to pay for something I can already do. Thanks for reading 🙂

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! Sorry for the late reply, I just came by your post.

With the Free version on mobile devices, the app will automatically add similar songs to your playlist if there are less than 15 songs from Spotify in it. More info on the mobile experience for Free users here.

If you want to play just the local files in your playlist, you can try restricting the app's internet access from your phone's settings.
