Onkyo will not allow me to sign into spotify

I just recently bought an onkyo tx-nr777 and I tried to play music from spotify on it, but when every I try it does not give me the option to log in on the TV, instead it just shows a screen which shows that songs are ready to be played. Along with that whenever I try to log in through my phone using the onkyo app it shows the same thing. 

If you have any information of how to fix this problem or how to allow me to play spotify on my stereo without the use of bluetooth please contact me.

That doesn't sound cool.

Is your Onkyo receiver up to date with the latest firmware version on it?

If not, please check if there is an update available.

I beleive it is at the current update, I just recently bought it so it should be updated fully right?
