Open Spotify Problems

First problem: When I type play.spotify.com, i automatically get redirected to open.spotify.com. Not that big of problem, since many other users are experiencing the same thing

Second problem: When i try to play any music, open.spotify.com doesn't allow me to play anything. I click on playlists, albums, my songs and nothing plays for me. If it helps, the firewall at my work does not allow me to use the app on my desktop, so the only way I can use spotify is through my browser, which is not playing right now.
