Pause when on phone speaker

Is there any way to force Spotify into a paused state when playing on the phone speaker? Spotify likes to start playing when my phone is on mute and I'm my pocket, so it just plays for no reason and I would very much like to change this behavior, but there is no setting for it.

That being said, would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the affected device along with the Spotify version you're running there?

On another note, would you mind sending us a full description of what's happening on your side? Is the app opening by itself or does it happen whenever you do something specific? It'd be awesome if you could add as many details as possible in your next reply.

Lastly, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.
