Play all queued episodes before playing suggested podcasts

Play all queued episodes before playing suggested podcasts

Most of the time I'll have a queue of podcasts to work through. I like to work through any I've already started when I can. Those are usually at the bottom of the list. Typically, half an episode or goes by and it completely. Then I get a podcast suggestion playing at me, when I have content I've already declared interest in, and downloaded.

Please, go through the queued and downloaded episodes first. Then give go on to other suggested content.

Hey there!

Thanks for posting your feedback on the Community!
We moved your post out of the Ideas section as this sounds more like a bug to me; hope you don't mind.

Could you tell us more about what happens with the queued up podcast episodes? It's not entirely clear from the post.
Do the queued up episodes disappear or just not play? How does your queue look like when this happens?
Tip: Adding some screenshots would be of help!

To start troubleshooting things here - you can try removing the cached data saved on your device to see if that would make a difference. Just keep in mind that this will also remove your offline content. It will redownload upon the next opening of the app.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply; thanks!

I should probably be very specific with language. I'm playing from the "Your Episodes" section, with no tags highlighted like "Unplayed" "Downloaded" "Continue listening". Just pick say, #3 to finish it, and it doesn't loop back to #1 or #2.

They stay, still downloaded. They just aren't the next up.

Hey again @lancegliser,

Keep in mind that the 'Your Episodes' section is not a playlist and it will also not queue up all the items from the section itself.
If you have - let's say 3 new episodes and you wish for them to play in a queued up order - go to the podcast itself and play episode #3.
This will queue up #2 and #1 as well.

Alternatively, you can just add the episodes from the 'Your Episodes' section manually to the queue from their context menu.

Hope you'll find this info helpful 🙂 Cheers!

I would hesitate to add things to queue.
It's a bit of a split personality problem for the application. Music is
short and adding to queue is simple. But I wouldn't want 20 or 30 minutes
worth of content to be queued in the same way. I still think this behavior
might need to be part of the built in just by staying from 'your episodes'
