Playback of downloaded list

Hi, can anyone tell me

- If a playlist is downloaded, will it be played from my local files even if my phone is connected to internet

or do I have to set Spotify in 'Offline mode' to save data transfer?

Spotify will play it from the downloaded file. However the Spotify app will still use a small amount of data to load other things in the app from Spotify.

To be sure no data at all is used, you can turn on offline mode.
