Playing Spotify on Bose SoundTouch

I have been listening to Spotify Premium on my Bose Wave Music System IV for a couple of years now, but in the past few weeks, I haven't been able to use my Wave to play Spotify. I've tried everything (shutting down, resetting, reinstalling software, etc.) to no avail. I contacted the Bose tech support, and they said they're aware of the problem (something proprietary) but as yet I've not seen anything to say there's a solution. The other weird thing is that I see virtually nothing about this problem on either Spotify or SoundTouch forums. I'm ready to cancel my Spotify account if I'm going to be unable to access it in this manner. Any suggestions?

I've been looking at some of the other posts in this forum, and Spotify doesn't seem to be working with anything. At first, I thought my problem was due to Bose SoundTouch. However, now I see that this is an issue with Spotify. I really love Spotify for its variety, soundlists, etc. and ease of use (when it's working) but I'm about ready to throw in the towel right now.

 

HOLY BOLONEY!!! I just chose one of my Spotify presets on my Wave IV, and it PLAYED!!!! Whatever the problem was, it now APPEARS to be solved (fingers crossed). I hope the other hardware problems have been solved as well. Good luck everyone!!

 

It was miraculously fixed for two or three days, but now it's gone again. Not sure what's going on.
