Playlists

Is the system algorithm getting lazy? When I was first on Spotify, it was amazing that I could have diverse playlists generated so I could experience new music. Now, whichever playlist I try, it quickly morphs into the same playlist with my assumed favorites, It is self fulfilling to make all suggestions seem like white noise. I am sad.

Hey,

Thank you for sharing your opinion.Algorithms consider trends and the general tastes and behaviors of users to improve recommendations.

You can improve this by

1-When you tap [not interested/thumbs down] for a recommendation on Spotify, you'll be given fewer recommendations that are similar to it.

2- If you exclude a playlist from your Taste Profile, past and future listens from that playlist will have less impact on your taste summaries and recommendations. To do this Tap 3 horizontal dots (iPhone and Desktop) / 3 vertical dots (Android) near the top of the playlist.

Tap Exclude from your taste profile.

Hope this helps
