Problems in Chrome

Problems in Chrome

Windows 7 Pro with Chrome Version 49.0.2623.87 (which is the latest version as of this posting)

Spotify has been acting up for the last 3-4 months and I can't get it to behave. After an amount of time (it varies from just a few songs to a few hours) the music will just stop wherever it is and Spotify seems to just stop responding. I can navigate around, but trying to play/pause the track or move to the next track will not work. If I just wait, after a minute or two it will go to the next track on it's own, but will only play a few seconds and then stall again.

I've cleared everything from the history (cache, cookies, stored data, etc) to the beginning of time and started Chrome with zero extensions and the problem still persists. I haven't tried in Firefox, but I would prefer to keep using Chrome for Spotify and I'm not keen on downloading the desktop app.

It is not my internet connection as I've tested that with a persistant ping and speed test to various geographical locations and when Spotify goes belly up my ping and transfer rates are steady.

EDIT: To clarify, Spotify works fine in Firefox (testing now), but I'd prefer to continue using Chrome.

EDIT2: Spoke too soon. Firefox is having the same symptoms.

Hey @Darxide

This is strange, I have escalated this to Spotify staff and will get back to you here when I hear from them 🙂
