My Question or Issue

My spotify on the ps5 used work normally i could hear my songs in the background while playing games and hearing the game sound but since today i cant hear my game sound anymore while using spotify i can only hear the music which is really annoying hope you can help

Thanks for reaching out.

Does this happen with all games or only a specific one? Have you tried reinstalling the app? You can also try plugging in a wired headset into your controller to see if the issue persists there. If yes, try changing your audio settings under System Settings - Audio Output and see if it helps.

It happens on every game even on the menu

Could you double-check if there are any pending firmware updates for your PS5? Also, just to confirm, did you try reinstalling the Spotify app? A reinstall will ensure that you're running the latest app version.

Hey @Timur2,

Try pressing the PS button -> Sound -> Audio Balance and see if the slider isn't moved all the way to game voice chat. 
Note that this setting is also available when you're in a party for that specific party chat.

Another thing to check is the button between your thumb sticks under the PS button. Pressing this button once will make it turn orange and mute your microphone. Holding it down will also mute the audio.

Appreciate the cooperation @Timur2.

Could you also go to the settings menus within the games that you're playing and check if you've not muted the games' sounds from there or if they're maybe getting automatically muted? 

Something else to try is to unlink Spotify from your PS to test if you'll continue not to hear game sounds after this action.

If you've already reinstalled Spotify, updated your console and if the games continue to have no sound after you've unlinked Spotify then it's best to reach out to PlayStation support for further assistance.
