Public Playlist Won't Share

Solved!

Public Playlist Won't Share

There's three of us who all contribute to a shared playlist for work. This used to work just fine, but now myself and one other contributor have been prevented access. I get an error saying 'the playlist has been made private', but I've seen the settings for the playlist and it is definitely public. The owner has shared links/invited us to be contributors, but it still won't allow us access. Any idea how to sort this?

Hi there @_Malice_,

Thanks for the post and welcome to the Community!

This sounds like the playlist might have been either reported by another Spotify user, or our fraud prevention system might have detected artificial streaming on it. If that's the case, the playlist would've been made secret and unshareable to other users, except the creator.

I'd suggest that the creator of the playlist checks their email address for an email from Spotify, which would have informed them of such an event. The email can sometimes end up in Spam/ Junk too. Apart from that, it's best to create a new collaborative playlist where you can share songs with your colleagues.

Hope this helps.
