Re: Spotify going into pause mode randomly on the Bose Soundtouch 10

Re: Spotify going into pause mode randomly on the Bose Soundtouch 10

Getting a similar problem.  Problem started when I had to move from Talk Talk to BT as provider.

At random times playing stops, error message is can't detect internet error code:4

Which can't be correct as:

1) in another window I can watch live TV, so internet is there?

2) I alway play downloaded albums, so wth has intenret conenction to do with it?

3) It's actually nothing to do wiht Bose either as the problem and same error message occur when I play on local speakers.

I foun d one fix on line from 2015 which involved deleting file in the app storage.  That got Spotify to restart, but then it fails agian.

Have reinstalled (twice)

Now losing will to live (and to pay)

Hey there, @paddyb-c

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community.

As this issue isn't just limited to Bose for you, we've moved your post here so that we can better help out!

Just to confirm, is it correct that you're having trouble with Spotify pausing? Also...
- The problem started when you had to move from Talk Talk to BT.

- At random times playing stops, error message is "can't detect internet error code:4"

- The problem happens on Bose, and local speakers?

If so, can you let us know:
- The exact device, operating system, and version of Spotify you're using?
- Does restarting your router help?
- We know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device too?
- If that doesn't help, let's try another quick reinstall. Just follow the steps here.

Keep us in the loop 🙂

Thanks,

/M

OK Thanks for the prompt response

Symptoms correctly identified.

On a Levnovo laptop running windows 10 (all up to date, nothing added)

Current Spotify version 1.0.74.380.g1fcff12a (just downloaded from www.spotify.com as the Windows App store was failing to install.

Prior toi reinstalling (for the 5th time this week) I reboorted PC (8th time), rebooted hub (8th time) and changed Spotify password (2nd time) and Bose (at leat 5th time)

Now have reinstalled Spotify version 1.0.74.380.g1fcff12a and have so far listended to approx 25 minutes in private session wiht no problems.  I would be tempted to conclude problem solved, but I've been here bfore and had it fall over after under an hour (have yet to finish listening to a double album).

However, conditional thanks so far and I'll let you know how it goes...

And yes, it has HUNG AGAIN.

In private session, 1/2 way through 3rd album I was listenting to it hung anbd I got my old freind 2"error code 4"

It works on this PC, on the router etc., but is just not stable.  Given that all my other apps, programmes and the rest are working fine I can only conclude that there is a bug in the most recent versions of your software...

Can you please fix?
