Recently Played Doesn't Update When Using Spotify Connect

Hullo,

So I've dealing with a weird issue for about 3 weeks. My Recently Played listening history doesn't update anymore, but specifically for music that was played through Spotify Connect. I've verified that it has nothing to do with the devices I'm using, because the functionality worked correctly when I logged into a test account with the same devices. So I guess my account is just bugged? Futhermore, I requested my privacy data JSON files from Spotify, and all these listens are being recorded. The API just doesn't seem to be writing them to my listening history datastore as well. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this, and if any fixes are known.

Thanks for the post and the info you've shared.

 

It's possible that your original account got broken. As unpleasant as it is, it can sometimes happen. The best way to go forward would be to create a new Spotify account and move your library over. It might sound like a hassle, but you can do it fairly quickly or reach out to our support team again, so they can help you with the transfer. 

 

Alternatively, you can wait and see if the recently played tracks start syncing again.
