Recording a video on phone stops spotify on iPad

I have closed spotify on my samsung phone and have it playing on my iPad. I'm trying to take a video with my phone and it stops spotify from playing on the iPad. When I attempt to take a video it opens spotify in the phone again and stops playing on the iPad.

 This indeed sounds odd and we'll do our best to help you out but we'd need some additional information about this. 

Could you please let us know if the same happens if your play on another device ( your PC for example)? 

If a family member has a Spotify account, it could also be a good idea to ask them to log in on your devices to see if the app behaves the same way.
 

On another note, we'd like to know if this has always happened or if it started happening after a specific event such as an update?
