Shuffle Play Turns Off in car BT

My Question or Issue:  Right after I downloaded the last Spotify update on my iPhone - v8.4.79.933 - the Shuffle function turns off as soon as my BT in my car connects to my phone.  It reverts back to playing tracks in sequence which I don't want since I created the playlist I did so by adding artists' catalogs at a time in chunks so it would end up playing the same artist for several songs until the next one in sequence mode.  BT on at home devices works fine - it's just in the car where this issue occurs.  It happened first on my iPhone 6S Plus that was running iOS 11 OS so when I upgraded a week ago to the new phone, I was hoping that it would NOT appear.  It did so that tells me it is in the Spotify app not working well with iOS OS since the change.  Never had this problem before.  Anyone having a similar issue since that last update?
