My Question or Issue

When I open the desktop app on my Windows 10 laptop, I always get this page "Something went wrong".

What I've done so far:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  2. Logoff and login
  3. Problem still remains.

Reload page button does not help.

can you please solve this issue ASAP?

Me too on Mac (Premium plan, from Italy)... on two different Macs.

I have Spotify Premium. Today, September 26, 2024, when I logged in the words "Somet6hing Went Wrong " appeared followed by a notice "Reload Page." I tried that and it didn't work. I have Optimum Premium on my IPhone and that works fine. The problem is confined to my computer. Why is this happening?

Hey there folks,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

@psionix, we understand you tried reinstalling the app, but we'd like you to perform a clean reinstall of the app on the affected device. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

If the above doesn't do the trick, then we'd recommend you clear host files on your device by following these steps. @mrcmrc65, we'd recommend you perform both the clean reinstall and clear the host files on the affected devices as well.

Folks, if the above doesn't do the trick, then please send us:

  • The exact Spotify version you're running on the affected devices.
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event, such as an OS update?
  • Does this happen when using the web player?

We'll be on the lookout!
