Songs no longer play from a certain playlist

Songs no longer play from a certain playlist

I had a premium subscription up until a few days ago, and the moment it ran out, a playlist I made during that subscription just stopped working completely. Any time I try to play any song included in that playlist, it just immediately shows a small blue notification at the top stating "We can't play the current song." And skipping to the next song, which does the exact same thing. I tried moving all the songs to another playlist, but any song that was in that playlist no longer works under any circumstance.

I have a similar problem. I started the 7 day premium trial. Then when the trial was over; my playlists only play songs that have been added to the playlist since the beginning of the premium trial. When a song that was previously on the playlist appears up next- it just skips the song. I end up listening to about 10 songs from a playlist with 95 songs on it. This is extremely frustrating and I have been primarily using YouTube to listen to music lately. I imagine that this is a coding error so I can be patient for the fix, but I am looking into getting a different app for music.

this was happening to me today too and I couldn't find anything to help. in the end I think i fixed it.
basically i had to clear the cache, which was actually pretty large for me (10 Gb).

to find where the cache is stored,

go to Edit > Preferences

click Show Advanced Settings.
the Cache section should show the filepath to where it's stored.

for me it looked something like "C:\Users\my username\AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage"

i first tried to delete the files in the Storage folder, but that didn't fix it.
i then went back and deleted the "Spotify" folder and now the songs that wouldn't play can play.

hopefully this helps.
