My Question or Issue

When playing music to my receiver via Connect, Spotify recognizes my receiver, turns it on and connects to it like usual but now shows my phone ID on the receiver readout and not the song title and it doesn't play music. If I switch to playing from a laptop the receiver still displays my iPhone name and doesn't play the songs. Viewed on the TV monitor it says "connecting...". I've used this setup for years without a problem until now. Any thoughts?

Coincidently (or not) this problem occurred sometime after I first tried casting You Tube to my TV.

Thanks for paying us a visit!

 

We can see that you are running the new iOS 12. Could you make sure iOS is running the newest build and not the beta. We'd also like to ask you if you can update the firmware on your receiver and do a thorough reinstallation of the app which you can do with these steps.

 

You can also try something basic like unplugging the receiver and router from the power. Wait two minutes and reboot everything. That could also do the trick 🙂
