Sound not playing through spotify app

Yesterday, I noticed sound wasn't playing when I pressed play on the spotify desktop app. I exited spotify and tested my sound on Netflix, Sound appeared to be playing and then I proceded to troubleshoot this issue by reinstalling the app, estarting my laptop, checking the sound mixer, changing some spotify settings, logging off all devices, and checking to see if I needed software updates. Basicly, everything listed on the "why am I not hearing sound" troubleshoot page. My iphone appears to be working with the Spotify app. This is the frst time any issue has happened with Spotify on my PC.
