Hi there @Lasotataco,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and for the troubleshooting you've done so far 🙂

In case you're using any battery optimization or power saving apps, you can deactivate them for Spotify. It's also important to make sure that there are no other apps running in the background.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you have someone log in with their account on your device to see if the issue persists? This will help us understand if it's account related or not.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

I'm having the same issue but the specific podcast won't play on roku (even tho it LOOKS like it's playing) it will play on my phone and laptop and all other spotify content works on rokroku

Hey @Chris610b,

Thanks for posting here.

It's a good idea to check if the firmware of the device is up-to-date.

We'd suggest you also restart the Roku device to see if that makes a difference.

If that doesn't help, you can send us a screenshot of what you're seeing. We'll look into this further.

Keep us posted.

So ive uninstalled/reinstalled the spotify app on the roku and rebooted the
roku a couple of times.
I dont know why this one specific podcast won't play on one specific
device. All other content has no problems.

Hi @Chris610b,

Thank you for your reply.

Could you start playing the podcast on your phone and then switch the stream to your TV using Connect?

If this doesn't work, can you log in with another account, such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persists? Alternatively, you can create a free account here, just make sure you're logged out of your own account before creating a new one.

Let us know how this goes.

When I play TAZ on my phone, it plays and when i cast to my roku, it
appears to play but produces no sound.

Hi @Chris610b,

Thank you for keeping in touch.

In order to investigate this, could you share with us the link to the podcast show that's having this issue? This way we can take a look into it.

Keep us posted.

Sleep cove will not play on Spotify! I tried other podcast streaming apps and it won’t work through them either….. does this mean it’s a weird issue on there end? Everything else works fine. Just specifically sleep cove! I’m never going to Sleep 😞

Hey there @Hutch9713,

Thanks for the post.

Some podcasts are hosted externally (not directly on the Spotify platform), so if there is an issue on the podcaster's end it will reflect on all streaming platforms.

If you send us a link to the podcast in question, we can check this further.

Cheers.
