Spotify Connect shows all devices but can‘t connect
I have an NETGEAR Orbi 770 WLAN Router with two satelites. All devices (4 Sonos One, 2 Sonos Era 100,1 Play:5) are shown And when I try to select one device the „connecting“ is shown, but no connection is established… I have restarted the Router and all devices, updated the software but nothing helped… Any ideas what I can do?
It worked in the beginning, but since four weeks it doesn‘t work any more… I can connect with Tidal to the streaming devices and Running Spotify from the Sonos App is working, too ….

Thanks for keeping us posted @vButch.
If all of your speakers are Sonos and the issue persists only with them when you're trying to stream from different devices, it's worth mentioning that there's another thread here where others are experiencing connectivity issues.
Some users have reported that it works with another Spotify account and I think it's worth checking out the last user's post here where they confirmed that updating their Sonos system fixed the issue.
Let us know how it goes for you.
Hey @vButch,
Thank you for posting this thread in the Community!
Did you notice if this behavior started after a specific change?
You have mentioned a few devices in your post, but in order to get a better idea, can you let us know on which specific device you're experiencing this Connect issue where you see the external devices (speakers) in the Connect picker, but you can't connect? Does it happen with all of the devices that you've mentioned?
This sounds like it could be a connection issue, so if you've not done this already I recommend testing with another internet connection. For example and if it's possible you can share mobile data to all devices via hotspot.
Something else that you can try is changing the network frequency to 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz in the router's settings and additionally, make sure that the network firewall isn't blocking Spotify.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Moin Ivelina!
I have the connect problem with all my listed devices... and as I said, at the beginning (after I had installed the new Orbi routers) there were no problems, everything was working fine... And without changing the network configuration or router setup the problem occured one evening...
I have tried to switch to the guest network, but it doesn't work... I have checked the firewall! I haven't changed the network frequency... both 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz are enabled... I will try this... and let you know if it helps...
I have tried out several configurations…. Only 2,4 GHz and changed the 5 GHz Channels… The Strange thing was that one speaker was working in between, after I had changed the „IoT Network Setting“ while the speaker was connected to a different Network (Like my Smartphone)….
Appreciate the cooperation @vButch!
Since you mentioned that one of the speakers worked in between when it was connected to a different network, could you test with another speaker and this network and let us know what happens? For example, try connecting another speaker to mobile data via hotspot.
It would also be very helpful if you could let us know what the original device that you're trying to stream from is (for example is it a computer) and how do things look like from the Web Player.
We'll be on the lookout.
This was a misunderstanding,,, I have changed the settings of a network (from the same router) which the Sonos One wasn‘t connected to… and after than I was able to connect one Sonos One (but only one). I couldn‘t connect to the other boxes in the same network, I tried to connect from Andoird-App, Windows-App, iOS-App… Could it be a kind of „Mesh-Problem“? As I said I use one router and two satelites…
Thanks for keeping us posted @vButch.

Thanks @Ivelina for the hint of the other thread!
I have added an additional of my familiy accounts to my android spotify app and now everything works... with the new added account and also with my "old" account... strange...
