My Question or Issue

When using Spotify's repeat feature in a playlist with Spotify Connect, play the last song in the playlist.

Expected result: Play continues at the end of the song with the song at the beginning of the playlist. The whole playlist should loop from the beginning.

Actual result: Play continues from the 11th song previous to the last song in the playlist. Those 11 songs loop over and over. 

I've tested this using the desktop version of the Spotify App on both Windows 10 and MacOS. Both versions of Spotify were the latest 1.1.46.916.g416cacf1 version. I've attached screenshots of both the local play queue and the connect play queue. I've noticed a similar, although not nearly as severe, version of the issue when using the shuffle functionality with Spotify Connect.

Could you tell us if the repeat function starts from the first song in the playlist if you play music straight from the desktop app, without streaming to the speaker?

 

Also, have you tried copying the songs over to another playlist and see if it works any different.

The repeat function works normally on the desktop app - it's only an issue with Spotify Connect.

I've seen the issue with every playlist I've tried it on - it doesn't appear to be a playlist specific bug.

In this case it's also a good idea to check out the requirements to use Spotify Connect here. If the speakers are not compatible, as an alternative you can play music via Bluetooth.

 

If the speakers are compatible, you can restart the router and try again. We'd suggest you also try with another account. That way we can check if it's an account-related issue.
