Spotify Connect not working on Philips TAPR802

Yes, tried all remedies given in issue marked "resolved". The Philips tapr802 radio, when put to its Spotify channel, displays a "click Play button". Spotify shows the radio as connected device, but playing a song will not change anything, no sound plays. The radio does play music through spotify while connected with bluetooth. Radio has latest software update installed.

You need to make sure that you're logged in with your Spotify account on the speaker and that all your devices are connected to the same home WiFi network, otherwise Spotify Connect won't work.

 

The Spotify app for smart speakers like the TAPR radio speaker are developed by the manufacturer and not by Spotify directly, so sometimes they might need some time to accustom their software to Spotify's API if there are any changes. So if this issue is not resolved by the suggestions above, it's best to reach out to the support team from Philips for further assistance.
