Spotify Connect suddenly stopped working on Yamaha AV Receiver

Spotify Connect suddenly stopped working on Yamaha AV Receiver

Plan - Premium

Country - Czech Republic

Device

Yamaha HTR-4067 + (iPhone 11, iPad Air 2, MacBook Pro 2020)

Operating System

iOS, MacOS

Hi Spotify community,

Until recently, I was able to see and use my Yamaha HTR-4067 in Devices available in Spotify app. Now, I can't se the AV Receive on any of my Apple devices 😞 Devices are on the same network, all getting proper IPs. No change to network configuration was made...

What I already tried:

- Reset AV receiver into factory settings and update the firmware
- full reinstall of Spotify app

- restart of the Apple devices

...and still noting 😞  Do you have an idea what could help? Did you change some APIs of something that could cause this?

Thanks!

Hello,

I have a similar situation with a Yamaha A1080 receiver which no longer plays my Spotify music. This happened after a firmware upgrade took place on my receiver, specifically the upgrade to 2.06 version here . So although the app (from both android mobile app or ios/macos app) shows that it connects to the receiver and looks like it's playing something... when looking at the receiver input signal there is nothing showing up as if it doesn't connect to spotify servers.

I have followed all recommended steps to troubleshoot this, nothing worked and if this continues whitout any input from support team, I am afraid I will close my subscription.

So did anyone faced the same issue and (if) found any solution/workaround to this?

Thank you!

Hi there @krejcpa8, @ducu1313,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you try and connect your devices to another network and test if everything works then? If necessary, you can make a hotspot with your phone. Also in this thread, a similar issue was solved by pressing and holding the power button down for 5 secs or more in order to reset the connection between the app and amp. Try that as well.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Joan,

Thank you for your reply, interesting that after reseting the receiver by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds resolved indeed my issue. So thank you very much for this!

I have a different model of a Yamaha receiver and this seemed to work for me, too!
