My Question or Issue

Recently the Spotify group session has failed to work when connecting to the speakers in the house. My devices are all connected to the same wifi and the speakers or the speaker groups will show up in the available devices, but when trying to connect to the speaker(s) already in use by one phone/Spotify account it disconnects the "current" listener and switches to the other account. It shows that we should be able to both "join the session" since we are on the same wifi. This was never a problem before, as it would ask if you wanted to join the current session in progress when the other user opened their Spotify, or you could click the speaker/group and it would join the session in progress. We recently were at some friends who have a Sonos system and had no issues connecting to it. If we scan the QR code to join the session it works, but this is a really annoying workaround especially since it should be necessary. 

 

I have tried clearing Spotify caches, restarting all devices, reconnecting them all to the wifi, to no avail.
