Spotify Stopping randomly on Nuvo

For the last 3 months,  Spotify will stop randomly during music that is played on a wired Nuvo system for approx 1-5 secondly  and then will continue 

This is not an internet issue as it doesn’t happen when it is streaming to Sonos.     It also isn’t a Nuvo issue as it doesn’t happen when playing internet rad

Would you mind checking if the firmware of your device has any pending updates?

On another note, does the same happen if you're using the Connect feature from a different device (phone or PC)?
