Spotify app doesnt installing on Samsung 55MU9000 TV

Hi all,

I have a premium spotify and Samsung 55MU9000 TV. 6 mouth ago my spotify was working properly and ı was using so often. But one day spotify app start to not opening, it was waiting on start screen with turning dots and then go to the main screen of Samsung TV. 

 

I applied default reset to my Samsung TV and after that spotfy app disappear as normal and i tried to install from Samsung Apps but when push the install button i took that eror message "UNABLE TO INSTALL. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER (118)"

I wait tried too many updates of TV but nothing changed. Im tring to install Spotify app for 6 mouths.

 

I talked with Samsung TV repair center and they connect to my TV and then they come to my house 2 times and they couldnt solve. And i open a ticket to Samsung and they told me that "your TV is working porperly Spotify app has a problem and the Spotify should solve this problem". And also Samsung told me that "the spotify app dosesnt work Samsung MU series TVs".

 

 

BUT in my county Samsung TV's lastest model TV is MU model. And i can see to many advertisement of Samsung with Spotify on internet and on TVs.  So im buying lastest TV  of Samsung and im buying Spotify for each mouth they couldnt give me a reason and they coulnt give me a solution.

 

Please help me otherwise i will give up to use spotify and Samsung and i will sheach my rigth.

 

My TV: Samsung UE55MU9000 with tizen operating system

Software version :T-KTMDEC-1240.7

Have you tried updating the firmware on your TV? For help with this, check out this Samsung support article.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your reply. I updated my tv to the lastest firmware version. This problem exist more that 7 mounts, during this i was waiting new firmwares and i tried with last 3 firmware of my TV. 

Firmware update didn't solve my problem.

Just to confirm, could you let us know the version of your TV's Tizen operating system?

 

You can find that by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Samsung’s app store.
  2. Select Spotify, under Lifestyle.
  3. Click Check your device in the top-right.

Hi Katerina,

 

First of all thank you for your reply. I really couldn't find my Tizen version but i can say my Samsung TV's firmware version is 1240.7 (latest firmware). According your steps i couldnt find any "check your device" button spotfy page in lifestyle. But my Samsung TV is 55MU9000 that 2017series i guest it has tizen 3 operation system.

 

You can see my Tv's version at the attachments, i took a picture of about my tv page. And also you can see the error of while i trying to install spotify app from app store.

Thanks for getting back in touch with this info.

 

It seems like Spotify may not be compatible with your device, which would explain why you're seeing this error message. You can check here if your device is listed.
