My Question or Issue

I've recently noticed an issue where my Spotify on both my laptop and my iPhone keep connecting to each other.  I'll be listening to music on my laptop and Spotify will be closed on my phone, but when I open my phone it sometimes recognizes that I'm listening to Spotify on my laptop, despite not having the app open, and turns my volume all the way up to max.  This realistically isn't a huge issue, but it is mildly annoying that videos will sometimes play on max volume when I'm expecting it to be very quiet.  Is there something I can do about this?

When you open the app on the laptop, you can try clicking on the Connect icon (Bottom right) and select the laptop as the playback device to see if that changes anything.
