Spotify can't see my Dot or Alexa Music Group

Solved!

Spotify can't see my Dot or Alexa Music Group

Spotify Premium account. I have an Alexa (Living Room) and Dot (Kitchen) that were always listed as options in the Spotify app on both my PC and my Samsung Galaxy. I had also created a group called Everywhere that included both rooms. Today I went to Spotify and all I have is Living Room. Kitchen is missing and the groups are gone.

In the Alexa app on my phone, Spotify is the default app for music (I just checked it again to be sure.) I also show KitchenandLiving and Everywhere groups under the devices menu but when I go to the Spotify app on my phone -- it mirrors what I see on the PC -- only Living Room as a device.

Any ideas? I got great help from this group a while back to get two Spotify users connected so hoping you can help again. Thanks!

Hey folks,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

In addition to the process mentioned by @Tommekk, we'd recommend unlinking and linking back you Spotify and Alexa accounts with the steps mentioned in this article.

If the issue persists, restart your internet router and try again.

Hi all -- I did end up uninstalling Spotify AND Alexa from laptop and phone. Not sure if that was entirely necessary but when I re-installed -- all the devices and groups were showing again!! I did save this too because I bet it's not the last time this will happen. Thank you the support!
