Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community.
The Group Session feature is still in beta testing, so it might change over time. Currently you should be able to create and join group sessions via a shareable link. Can you let us know what happens if you share the link to a group session with your friends - do they get an error message?
Currently the scannable code is not available as an option. Note that a lot of users want to see it back and we've passed on this feedback to the teams working on making the Group Session better.
Keep us posted on how you get on.
So i've tried with 3 different friends, all they get from me is a "listening is everything"link that takes me to a page that offers premium (note that I have the premium)

That is correct. I've tried doing another clean reinstall and its still not working correctly for me

Thank you for confirming the information.
If you have a Premium subscription already but the system is asking you to purchase it again, most likely the invite is being accepted with a different account opened by mistake.
First, we'd recommend logging out from your Account page and from the Spotify app before accepting the group session. Once logged out, the system will ask you for login credentials to join the group session. Make sure to use the Premium account to log back in.

This does not work either. It has me log in then takes me to the home page of the spotify app without joining any session

Im not sure what I did different but I did another clean reinstall and its working.
