Spotify iOS app won't allow log in

Says:

Login failed
Unable to login, either username or password is incorrect. Have you signed up for a Spotify account?

I have an account and just reset password (forgot old one). I repeatedly get this message trying to use app on iPhone 6+ that has all updates current. Resetting phone didn't change this issue either.

That doesn't sound quite right.

What are you using for the login? Your username or your email address?

If you use your email address try to use your username instead of the email.
